YOU Can Make a Difference
At Beacon of Pell City, we are a 501c(3) nonprofit and we depend on donations from grants, corporations and people like you. We need your tax free donations as well as in-kind items such as pre-packaged snacks. No gift is too small. We appreciate your support and the Pell City community is a better place because of YOU.
Who We Are

Loaves & Fishes
Once a week a healthy and hot meal is delivered to homebound and elderly residents in and around the Pell City community. The food is prepared at a local church and volunteers deliver the meals. We depend both on donations, grants and gifts as well as volunteers for this need in our community. Often the visit with the volunteer is just as needed as the food.

Utility Assistance
Once a month those who have fallen behind on utility bills have an opportunity to seek some assistance help. We can help keep the local power, gas, water or garbage services from being disconnected or turned off. Sometimes even a small amount can can help area residents in times of need. Volunteers interview and certify needs and help in small ways with these bills.

Pack-a-Snack
During the school year, volunteers of all ages pack a bag of healthy weekend snacks each week. These are for local elementary kids and their siblings. Volunteers deliver the bags to local schools and these bags are handed out by the teachers. We depend on in-kind gifts of snacks, donations and volunteers and the teachers to feed hungry kids.

Ramp Building
What happens when you can no longer physically enter your own home? That is where our ramp building team can come in and build a ramp so that folks can safely enter their homes with dignity. Volunteers who help build range from engineers to carpenters to folks who just want to give of their time to help others. These projects are done on a as-needed basis and depend on donations and grants for the cost of supplies.
